Come join our team!

Tarhe Sports & Learning Center offers classes for all ages in two areas:

  1. Mixed Martial Arts
  2. Ryukyu Kempo
Come check us out!

Mixed Martial Arts

Students train in endurance and striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground. The term mixed martial arts was coined by Rick Blume, president and CEO of Battlecade, in 1995. Since then, the sport has seen increased popularity with a pay-per-view business that rivals boxing and professional wrestling. Students who train with us can enter competitions as they become skilled.

Ryukyu Kempo

Students will learn Kyusho (pressure point activation), demonstrate kata, practice tuite (joint manipulation), and gain skill in self-defense techniques. Tarhe takes its teaching style from Grandmaster Gary Rooks who is a Certified 7th Level Kyusho Instructor. Grandmaster Rooks has trained in Kyusho since 1985 and currently teaches seminars internationally. He has researched and developed Elemental Sound Projection to enhance Kyusho and Tuite techniques.

Sponsors needed:

We are currently accepting donations and sponsors for students. Money donated to Tarhe will help provide for students who are unable to pay, but who qualify for classes. Funds we receive will also go to help purchase new mats and other equipment for the gym, as well as allow us to restart our tutoring program.

We have three suggested levels of giving, but we will take donations of any size.

Bronze: $500.00 will earn your business logo displayed in our very large windows at Tarhe. We are located just south of Falmouth on US 27 and see a lot of traffic. Your logo will remain in our windows for one year.

Silver: $1,000.00 will earn your logo in our windows, and on all of our t-shirt sales for one year. These shirts will be worn in the community by our students, and also at tournaments each time they complete.

Gold: $1,500.00 will earn your logo in our windows for one year, and on all of our fight shorts. These shorts are worn by our students in the community and also at tournaments as a requirement for competition.

Tarhe is a 501(c)(3) charity. All donations are tax deductible.
